Blind Guardian andis aastal 2022 kaks kontserti – Hellfestil ja Rock Hard Festivalil, millel esitas “Somewhere Far Beyond” albumi materjali täispikkuses. Alguses polnudki plaanis kogu plaat uuesti stuudios salvestada, plaaniti bändiproovis lindistada mõned lood, aga bänd ei jäänud nende salvestuste kvaliteediga rahule. Olles täielikult teadlikud fännide arvamusest vanade albumite uuestisalvestamise osas (“Seda ei tehta!” “Miks?” “Lihtsalt, ei tehta!”), otsustas Blind Guardian oma 30-aastasele bändikogemusele lisaks leida kusagil kolme kümnendi tagust nooruslikku nälga ja tegid plaadi ära.
